Generic analogue of Sprycel, dasatinib

Indications:

Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) in the accelerated or blast phase in cases of resistance to or intolerance to previous therapy that included imatinib mesylate.

Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph+ ALL), as well as the lymphoblastic form of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) in cases of resistance to or intolerance to previous therapy.

Dosage and administration:

Used in adults. Treatment should be administered by a physician experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with leukemia.

The starting dose for chronic phase CML is 100 mg once daily, orally in the morning or evening.

The starting dose for accelerated phase CML in myeloblastic or lymphoblastic crisis and in patients with Ph+ ALL is 140 mg daily (70 mg orally in the morning and evening).

Tablets are taken regardless of meals and swallowed whole without breaking. The required dose is formed by a combination of 20 mg, 50 mg, and 70 mg tablets. Dose increases or decreases are determined by the patient's sensitivity or tolerance to therapy. In severe manifestations of CML or Ph+ ALL, the dose may be increased to 100 mg twice daily.
