Indications
- Treatment of adult patients with chronic idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) who have undergone splenectomy and are refractory to other medications (e.g., corticosteroids, immunoglobulins). As a second-line treatment for adult patients who have not undergone splenectomy due to contraindications to surgery.
- Treatment of thrombocytopenia in adult patients with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection to enable and optimize antiviral therapy, including interferon.
