Indications

Treatment of secondary hyperparathyroidism (HPT) in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) undergoing dialysis.

PTH-30 can be prescribed as part of combination therapy including phosphate and/or vitamin D sterol binders (see Section "Pharmacological action").

Reduction of hypercalcemia in patients with:

parathyroid carcinoma.

primary HPT, when parathyroidectomy is indicated to lower serum calcium levels (in accordance with established treatment regimens), but depending on the patient's condition parathyroidectomy is impossible or contraindicated.
