Indications for Orencia®
- to reduce symptoms, enhance clinical response, inhibit the progression of structural damage, and improve functional activity in adult patients with moderate to severe active rheumatoid arthritis who have responded insufficiently to one or more disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (such as methotrexate) or biologic antirheumatic drugs;
- to reduce signs and symptoms in children 6 years of age and older with moderate to severe active juvenile idiopathic arthritis with multiple joint involvement.

Dosage regimen
Abatacept can be used as monotherapy or in combination with disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs. anti-inflammatory drugs (e.g., methotrexate).
Orencia® is administered intravenously as an infusion over 30 minutes at the doses indicated in the table.
For adults, after the first administration, the following doses are recommended after 2 and 4 weeks, and then every 4 weeks.

The dose should be calculated individually immediately before each administration. For children weighing 75 kg or more, the dosing regimen is the same as for adults. The maximum dose is 1000 mg.
