The drug Noxafil^®is used for the treatment of the following fungal infections in adults:

• Invasive aspergillosis in patients with resistance to amphotericin B or itraconazole or in patients with intolerance to these drugs;
Fusarium in patients with resistance to amphotericin B or patients with intolerance to amphotericin B;
• chromoblastomycosis and mycetoma in patients with resistance to itraconazole or in patients with intolerance to itraconazole;
• coccidioidomycosis in patients with resistance to amphotericin B, itraconazole or fluconazole or in patients with intolerance to these drugs;
• oropharyngeal candidiasis: how to treat the first lines in patients with reduced immunity, with possible low effectiveness of topical medications.

Persistence is determined by the progression of infection or the extent of progression after at least 7 days of prior stagnation of effective antifungal therapy.

The drug Noxafil^®is recognized for the prevention of invasive fungal infections infections in such patients:

• Patients who need to undergo chemotherapy to induce remission in the treatment of acute myelogenous leukemia or myelodysplastic syndrome, which can lead to severe neutropenia, and those with a high risk of developing invasive fungal infections;
• recipients of hematopoietic cell transplants who need to take high doses of immunosuppressants for accelerated graft-versus-host reaction and those with a high risk of developing invasive fungal infections.

The drug Noxafil^®is indicated for the prevention of invasive fungal infections caused by yeast or mold fungi in adults and children over 13 years of age, as there may be increased risks for the development of such infections (for example, patients with severe neutropenia or recipients of hematopoietic cell graft transplants).
