Indications for use

Nintedanib is indicated for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF)8 and to slow the decline of lung function in patients with interstitial lung disease associated with systemic sclerosis10. It is also indicated for the treatment of chronic fibrosing interstitial lung diseases with a progressive phenotype10.

In the EU, nintedanib, under the trade name Vargatef, is indicated in combination with docetaxel for the treatment of adult patients with metastatic, locally advanced, or locally recurrent adenocarcinoma-type non-small cell lung cancer who have received first-line therapy9.
