Indications:

• To reduce the duration and severity of neutropenia in patients (adults and children) undergoing intensive myelosuppressive chemotherapy with cytotoxic drugs for malignant neoplasms (except chronic myeloid leukemia and MDS).
• To reduce the duration of neutropenia in patients receiving high-dose chemotherapy with cytotoxic drugs followed by autologous or allogeneic bone marrow transplantation.
• Long-term use is indicated for children and adults with severe congenital, cyclic, or idiopathic Neutropenia with clinically significant infections within the previous 12 months and neutropenia with an absolute neutrophil count <0.5 x 10 9 /L to increase neutrophil counts and reduce the incidence of infections.
• Neupogen is indicated for the mobilization of peripheral blood stem cells.
• Neupogen is also indicated for the treatment of persistent neutropenia (absolute neutrophil count ?1.0 x 10 9 /L) in patients with advanced HIV infection to reduce the risk of bacterial infections when other treatments for neutropenia are inappropriate.
